“Child labour deprives children of their childhood, their potential, and their dignity”

Child labour affects 160 million children worldwide, with millions working in hazardous conditions. According to the ILO, In Bangladesh, over 3.4 million children are engaged in labour, primarily in agriculture and informal sectors.

This issue persists despite international agreements like the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Immediate action is needed to eliminate this violation of basic human rights, ensuring every child can enjoy education and protection from exploitation.

Child Labour in Keraniganj

Child labor is a rampant issue in Keraniganj, Dhaka, with children working in hazardous industries for long hours and low wages. They face health risks from chemicals and machinery. Despite efforts from NGOs and the government, the issue persists. Solutions include better access to education, healthcare, and stronger law enforcement.
